Galanz Air Fry Microwave: Features and Functions
The idea with the Galanz Air Fry Microwave is that you’re looking at a three-in-one device that offers the combined features of a convection oven, an air fryer, and a microwave oven. It can air fry anything from popcorn shrimp to French fries, roast chicken (see more microwaves for chicken) like at your favorite rotisserie, and microwave anything that can be microwaved.
But the real kicker is the combi speed one cooking option, which runs the convection oven and microwave at the same time. The result - food that cooks exponentially faster and more evenly, with a crisp baked exterior and a lovely juicy interior.

Here’s a brief rundown of all the features this air fryer convection oven microwave brings to the table:
Three Appliances in One Unit
You pay one low price for the Galanz Air Fry Microwave, though what you technically take home is three separate devices for cooking delicious dishes with ease. A true convection oven, a capable air fryer, and an all-purpose microwave of the highest quality at an affordable price (see also best microwaves under 200 and top ovens under 150 dolars).
Air Fry Cooking
The air fryer has become the indispensable kitchen gadget of the moment, designed to provide more frying surface area to reduce the amount of oil needed to cook food and eliminate problematic hot spots. With an air fryer, you can air fry just about anything you would usually deep fry using only a tiny amount of oil - sometimes none at all. A fantastic way to achieve the optimum temperature, with all the taste and none of the guilt of a deep fryer.

Combi-Speed Cooking
A great way to turbocharge your favorite recipes, this is one of those settings you quickly wonder how you ever lived without. This is where the true convection oven is used at the same time as the microwave cooking feature, effectively baking and microwaving what’s inside the unit at the same time. You’re basically cooking your meals and ingredients from the inside and the outside, thus resulting in much faster and more enjoyable results.
Auto Cook and Auto Reheat
There are several settings built into the device to enable it to auto cook and auto reheat a wide variety of foods at the touch of a button. Again, designed to result in the kind of even cooking and fantastic temperature inside and out that goes beyond the capacity of a conventional microwave.
Sleek Exterior Design
Engineered to look the part just about anywhere - see also this fantastic retro microwaves - the Galanz Air Fry Microwave is slightly larger than a conventional microwave to accommodate more foods and enable its air fryer functionality. Not that this is an issue, as the extra size makes it perfect for whipping up a family-sized roast chicken in next to no time. Also, check out other compact options with a 900 watt power rating. A 1100 Watt microwave oven is a fairly powerful one for home, but they go all the way to 1300 Watts.

The Galanz Air Fry Microwave: Put to the Test
Set yourself up with your own Galanz Air Fry Microwave and you’re in for an easy ride. Suppose you’ve sufficient space to accommodate it and a nearby electrical socket. Mere seconds after releasing it from its cardboard container, it’s ready to go.
Albeit, shy of a quick interior wipe, as recommended by the manufacturer.
Getting to grips with all the bells and whistles this thing offers may seem a little daunting at first. Hence, my approach was to first learn how the microwave works, then get to grips with the true convection oven and finally give the air fryer a go.
It turns out this was definitely the right approach, as two days after unboxing it; I was playing with its long list of features and settings like a pro.
An Amazing Convection Oven and Air Fryer
I can’t wax lyrical too much about the way the Galanz Air Fry Microwave performs as a microwave. How excited can you really get about a microwave these days when the old one does basically the same thing?
Instead, it was its air fry and true convection oven features that really blew me away. Starting out with the staple, I tried it out with a few portions of French fries. Lo and behold, they came out as delicious as any deep-fried fries I’ve ever made. After experimenting with several other delicious dishes from my crunchy-fried repertoire, I was well and truly convinced.
It was a similar story with the convection oven, which frankly blows my main oven out of the water. True, it’s not necessarily got the size to accommodate a gigantic family meal in one go, but it will do as an air fryer for a family of four. Also, the way this thing can roast, toast, and baked foods at lightning speeds is remarkable. All while achieving optimum texture, just as you’d expect from any conventional oven.
If I’m honest, I’ve never personally been the type to use things like auto cook and auto reheat too often. Primarily due to the fact that auto cook and auto reheat features are usually a little on the ambiguous side, with regard to how they work with different foods and quantities thereof. However, I have to say that with the Galanz Air Fry Microwave, they’re a Godsend…seriously useful.

Value for Money
Prior to round things off, the value for money this thing represents warrants mentioning. Before I reviewed the Galanz Air Fry Microwave, I was skeptical about how much you can realistically expect for a little over $100 (see also best air fryers under 100 bucks). Having now experienced it firsthand, I can see why almost nobody has reviewed or rated it negatively.

You could easily blow around $200 these days on a microwave that covers little more than the basics. With this thing, you’re spending next to nothing and picking up something quite fantastic. If there’s anything negative you could say about it in terms of value for money, it’s definitely not something I noticed!
Here's how it stacks against other oven niches:
Low Wattage Toaster Ovens
These toaster ovens are affordable, small and have a low power rating. Most of the low wattage toaster ovens are simple toaster oven that lack functionality of Galanz's microwave air fryer.
Large Toaster Ovens
Apart from the fact that they can handle large sized meals, there aren't many more benefits to large toaster ovens. Galanz Air Fry Microwave is slightly larger than a traditional oven and its functionality isn't hampered by the number of people you are cooking to.
4 Slice Toaster Ovens
The 4-slice toaster oven gives you a perfect oven for college kids, small apartments, and other cramped living spaces, with room for four slices of bread or two pizza pies. Galanz's Air Fry Microwave is safer and will stay much cooler on the outside.
Toaster Ovens with 500 Degrees Fahrenheit
This is higher than the average 450 degree Fahrenheit found on most toaster ovens. The toaster ovens with 500 degrees have a much higher wattage (around 1800 watts) while with Galanz's Air Fry Microwave, you’re spending next to nothing and picking up something really versatile and economical becaise of its low power rating (900 watt).
Toaster Ovens for Camping
Smallest of the bunch are the toaster ovens for camping, and If you are moving or need to transport the oven, the weight won't be an issue. There's no way of actually comparing them to Galanz Air Fry Microwave, as later is not meant for outdoor use.
Final Verdict
You could write about the versatility and practicality of this intelligent little microwave all day. You could also pen a near-endless list of the various types of food it can cook to absolute perfection.
But there is really little point, as it would be quicker to list the few other features it doesn't have. A cliché statement, perhaps, but true nonetheless.
Jokes aside, I cannot really see how this three-in-one device could fail to meet anyone’s expectations. Even if it was to retail for twice its price, it would still represent decent value for money. The fact that you can pick it up for little more than $100 makes it one to definitely check out.
